Tu b'Shvat Seder: Celebrating the Jewish New Year of the Trees

Saturday, January 27, 2-5 pm, Tu b'Shvat Seder

Children's Programming has been added. Playground onsite and Tu B'Shevat children's activities available. Email childcare coordinator at events@JeWitchCollective.org if you want to volunteer for a 20 minute shift supervising the kids.  Children 13 and under FREE. 

Doors will open at 2 pm. The ritual will begin at 2:20 pm and end at 5:00 pm.Tickets will be available to purchase onsite starting at 1:30.If you arrive early, please be prepared to enjoy the nature surrounding the lodge until the doors open. You are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are $25 - 60 in advance and $35 -60 at the door. Free parking is available onsite. Carpooling is encouraged.

If you pay this rate and can't arrive on time, you will be expected to pay the difference between this rate and the advanced rate.  We greatly appreciate those who help out. Many hands make light work.

Sequoia Lodge2666 Mountain Blvd, Oakland, CA 94611, near Park Blvd exit from Route 13 between Joaquin Miller Court and Woodcrest Circle in the Oakland Hills.

Public Transit: Sequoia Lodge is about a 17 minute walk from the nearest stop of the 33 Montclair bus and an 8 minute walk from the nearest stop of the 339 Chabot Science Center bus

When:
We will celebrate Tu B’Shevat in the Redwoods on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Doors will open at 2 pm. The ritual will begin at 2:20 pm and end at 5:00 pm.

Tickets will be available to purchase onsite starting at 1:30. If you arrive early, please be prepared to enjoy the nature surrounding the lodge until the doors open. You are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance and there is a $10 discount for doing so.

Accessibility:

This event is wheelchair accessible.  

The venue is heated and we will be going back and forth between indoors and outside.

You'll be able to completely enjoy the ritual under cover if you choose not to go into the woods. 

Please come fragrance free (including laundry, bedding, hair and body products), so that everyone can participate. Click here for info about this. 

There will be chairs available on the covered deck outside the lodge for those who need to sit down before the doors open.

What to Bring:

Our event is an indoor/outdoor ritual and there is a covered deck. Dressing in layers is suggested as is wearing sturdy shoes for being on the possibly wet ground in the woods. Bring rain gear in case you want to go outside while it is raining. 

You'll be able to completely enjoy the ritual under cover if you choose not to go into the woods.

There will be some chairs and seating on the floor.  Please bring a blanket or cushion to sit on if you do not need to sit in a chair.
